Summer Staple

As July comes to an end, summer starts to fade away and I, for one, am back at home for a few weeks before school starts and trying to soak in every last second of summer! The end to the summer doesn’t mean the heat is going anywhere, though! It’s even common for the temperature to get HOTTER into August and early September. I found this cute little summer frock on SALE at Madewell and have really gotten a lot more wear out of it than I had expected! I do believe this dress has become my summer staple and y’all, it’s on sale! The dress is so light and crisp and can be dressed up or down depending on your accessories. It’s perfect for this end-of-summer heat that I’m suffering through here in Texas! Continue reading

Christmas in July

christmas in July

Merry Christmas in July, friends! Now, this may seem a little silly BUT I am a Christmas fanatic and waiting to celebrate only once a year just doesn’t seem enough! I started celebrating Christmas in July at camp several years ago and have loved the tradition so much that I insist upon continuing it every year! This is the first year that I am not with my siblings to celebrate it so I got a few of my friends to join in with me and celebrate Christmas in July! Continue reading

Earthy Tones for Transitioning to Fall

earthy tonesI love the summer but lately, it has been so darn hot that I’ve been day dreaming of fall! Thanks to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale for putting brand new fall merchandise on SALE and therefore providing my top for dinner last night! I have been anxiously waiting for this sale because I always find such great deals on brand new items for the upcoming season. For the whole week, I had been scanning the website to make sure the items that I had my eye on were still in stock. One of the tops that I found has a rich olive earthy tone that will be perfect for transitioning to fall. I loved it so much that I wore it to dinner last night! My boyfriend and I went out to a famous spot in Austin called The Oasis, which has a beautiful view overlooking the lake. We went late enough that we even got to see the sunset and it was OH so beautiful! Continue reading

Brunch & Blue

If you know me, you know that I love breakfast. However, I like to take my time getting out of bed in the morning. So, I’m stuck in the middle of a love for a morning meal and sleep. LUCKILY, there’s this wonderful little in-between called brunch. We all know and love it (especially this girl!) and it’s an added plus if I get to dress up for it! Today I tried a charming new brunch spot and got to wear this cute little number with my new Kendra Scott fall collection pieces! Talk about starting the day off on a good note! Continue reading

Happy Monday loves!

So, let me give you a little update. I’ve been living in Austin, Tx for the summer where I have been interning with a wedding planning company and working at Kendra Scott. It has been so SO much fun! Austin is one of my favorite places to be because there is always something fun to do, one can never be bored in this city! However, the temperature highs this week all say 100 degrees and my weather channel app says that the heat index actually makes it feel like 106 degrees!! I pulled this dress out of my closet to wear today in the scorching heat because it is so light and breezy (perfect for Texas weather)!  Continue reading

Summer Flow

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

Hello loves!

I hope you’re having a wonderful and relaxing Sunday! I found this pretty floral maxi dress on sale at Zara not too long ago and have really become obsessed with it! I’ve discovered over the years that the best way to be comfortable and cool in this summer heat is to forget about the jeans and shorts and go with a flowy dress. It’s perfect for catching a breeze to cool you off and doesn’t stick to sweaty skin. I love the slanted hemline and the warm shades of color in this dress. The red and pinks in it also gave me an excuse to wear rose gold, which is my newest obsession!  Continue reading
