Hello Yellow

hello yellow

It is a beautiful day here in Oxford and a perfect day for brunch! There is an adorable new restaurant in town called Saint Leo that I have been dying to try and this morning I finally got to! It was so great and I can’t wait to go back and try it for dinner sometime. It has warmed up this past week and there is no way I would be caught outside wearing pants, it is just too hot for that! Mississippi weather can never make up it’s mind. However, I felt nice and cool in these precious linen shorts and they are so comfy! P.S. the shorts have an elastic waste band!! They are SO great and go with everything! This yellow top has been in my closet forever and is one of my favorites but is no longer available. Never fear, I will link a few similar styles of my top at the bottom of the post. As always, I’m wearing my Kendra Scott jewels. I’m hooked on it, what can I say?!

Cheetah Print & Red Lips

cheetah print & red lips

Greetings from Oxford, love!

Wow, am I glad to be back in Oxford and away from the Texas heat or what?! The weather has dropped to mid 80’s here and I couldn’t be happier (although the humidity has been 90%)! I’ve gotten to wear jeans and a short sleeve sweater and actually enjoy it! The thought of jeans and a sweater would be a cruel punishment at this point in the season back in Texas. I found this sassy little sweater on SALE at the J.Crew factory store! It is too cute to pass up! I also can’t resist cheetah print & red lips together because the contrast is just the right amount of pop. My flare jeans just happen to be the most comfy jeans I own (also, on SALE under $50!) so this day couldn’t have been any more comfy/cute!

At the bottom of the post you can shop this look where I’ve linked the websites!

Transition Hues

Transition Hues

I can hardly wait for the weather to drop and start to get cooler as fall gets closer! So, I’ve been pulling out some of my favorite fall pieces that I just couldn’t wait any longer to wear! These booties were a Nordstrom anniversary sale find and I am swooning over them! The heel isn’t too tall-honestly it’s the perfect height and that is crucial for someone as tall as I am. Also, one of my favorite things to do while transitioning to fall is to pair a tunic dress with jeans. It’s great for when the weather starts to get cooler at night and you’re worried about getting chilly! ALSO, these adorable Ann Taylor Loft sunglasses are only $15!! Hurry and snag those before they’re gone! Y’all, I know that I’ve been wearing these Kendra Scott rose gold pieces a lot but the threader earrings are just so stinkin’ cute! They’re like a modernized hoop earring and are so light weight! Continue reading

French Blue

I am OH so excited to be wearing this outfit because I just adore it! It brings me many fond memories, as well. I stumbled upon this midi skirt while shopping along the Champs-Élysées in Paris last summer with my family! It’s always so fun to shop while traveling (especially abroad!) because it makes the pieces that you buy so unique and special knowing that you could only find it in that location! This skirt is from Tara Jarmon and since it’s from last summer, it is sadly no longer available BUT I have found one from LuLu’s that is almost identical and priced so well at under $50! Also, I love love love this collared bow shirt and it sort of made me feel like Madeline from one of my favorite childhood books. She was French so I don’t at all mind being compared to a children’s book character! :)  Continue reading

Happy Friday, friends!

This afternoon I got to have a fun, little girly lunch at one of my favorite lunch spots downtown! We ended up checking out a few of the boutiques down there as well and made it into a girls day! The best kind of days! :) I was just giddy to wear this precious 2-piece number from Ann Taylor. Bows AND gingham has my name allll over it!  Continue reading

Dinner Downtown

dinner downtown

Since I’m at home for a few weeks before I head back to school, I’ve been trying to go to my favorite restaurants before I leave. Tonight I went to a cute little restaurant downtown that has the best menu! It’s one of those that you can’t go wrong with whatever you end up ordering. The restaurant is a place that you can dress pretty casual, but for dinner I like to turn it up notch. So, I went with this ensemble that portrays the perfect balance of casual cute. Plus, this outfit gave me the perfect opportunity to wear these new heels that I’ve been just dying to wear!  Continue reading
