Back in Business

Oh happy day! I have returned to this little blog of mine after taking a longgg break. This semester at school was quite a busy one and I put the blog on the back burner for a while but I am so happy to be back in business with some fresh new content! Writing a blog has been so fun for me and something that I really enjoy doing, I have definitely been missing it this semester. I am going to try to post new content much more frequently this summer because I’ll have some more time on my hands. I also have some exciting news, I will be back in Austin, TX this summer interning for one of my favorite companies…Kendra Scott!! I get to intern at the corporate headquarters and I cannot wait to see all that I will learn and experience while there, I am so thankful to be given this opportunity! I’m also very excited to get back to Austin for some blog shoots because the options are endless and the area is so so beautiful.

I just love this outfit that I’m posting about today! It is perfect for summer with the white on white colors. Sometimes, too much white can be a bit much but I broke it up with the brown accent pieces like the belt and wedges. Speaking of the wedges…I think they might be my favorite shoes this summer because they go with everything and are so stinking cute! I also loved the ruffle detail on the top that made a plain white tee seem a little dressier. This outfit would be great for a date night or even work clothes for casual Fridays at the office!

Happy Monday, love! To say the least, this “winter” weather has been crazy, which does make the clothing for this season pretty unpredictable. Here in Texas, it has been sunny and 75 one day and then a chilly 50 degrees the next. This outfit is great for this crazy weather because the turtle neck t-shirt is so light and won’t get too warm! The vest adds warmth for a chilly day but can easily be taken off if the weather warms up. I also have to note that these high waisted jeans are my newest obsession. They are Hudson brand which is such great quality and super soft denim, they’re so comfy that they basically feel like I’m wearing leggings!

I’ll be enjoying this rainy Monday by binge watching my new favorite show, This is Us, with my mom and sisters. Lazy days are my favorite! I would love to hear from some of you what your favorite binge worthy T.V. show is in the comments below! I hope you have a great week!

xoxo,

Ellen

Winter Morning

Winter Morning

Something that I have never shared before is my love for pajamas. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t a major percentage of my wardrobe. There is no better time for pajamas than in the winter, and one of my favorite pairs from this winter season are these festive “Long Janes” from Victoria Secret. They are so comfy and I love the fit because they are actually long enough (which never happens) for my extremely long legs!! I also think the festive pattern is so cute and I love wearing them. Lastly, let’s take a moment to appreciate my new pink princess slippers which I am obsessed with! I never take them off when I’m at home because I just love them so much. They are the cherry on top for this chilly winter morning like today, which calls for staying in your PJ’s all day long!

P.S. I’m obsessed with this new book that I received for Christmas about a girl who studies abroad in Paris, finds love and has the most life-changing experience. If you’re a book worm then you should check it out! I will link it below with the outfit details.

I’ve linked all of the outfit and book details at the bottom of the post!

Happy Sunday, my dear!

Okay, I know that it’s not quite technically considered winter yet BUT it is cold outside and Christmas is in full swing sooo I say it feels a lot like winter! There are few things I love more than pretty pale pinks and this outfit has me swooning! So often it seems that around the holidays and in the winter that colors are restricted to dark shades but a winter blush is not something to neglect! I loved the look of this pale pink sweater paired against the dark jeans and black choker. Y’all, don’t even get me started on these shoes. I was obsessed the moment I found them! These precious blush kitty flats are too cute for words! They are also a fantastic (and cheaper) alternative to the designer kitty loafers by Charlotte Olympia.

I’m also loving my new tote from Barrington Gifts. It is the perfect neutral that looks great with every outfit. As you might’ve seen in my previous posts, I love the St. Anne tote from Barrington Gifts. It just has so much space for toting around anything you might need but without consuming your whole body. I really cannot recommend this tote enough AND it’s customizable (which would make a great Christmas gift).

Fall Harvest Hues

Happy Thanksgiving, love!

Thanksgiving is one of my very favorite holidays (right behind Christmas) because of all the family time it entails. We always start off the day watching the Macy’s day parade and then as the afternoon rolls around, so does the rest of the family and then we feast! I hope you get to spend thanksgiving with your loved ones, as well!

This outfit seemed so quintessential autumn with the warm rust turtleneck paired with the navy. These two pieces are actually on sale at J.Crew right now, 40% off which is always the best. I may suggest getting your Christmas pajamas at that J.Crew sale right now while this great deal lasts! Also, a huge shoutout to these Hudson jeans because they are so so soft and stretchy which makes them my favorite pair. As always, I’m wearing my favorite booties, they are just so comfortable and the color goes great with everything!
